Stage 10, 196km from Scandiano to Viareggio, with the wet weather challenging the riders again, stage victory for EF Easipost’s Magnus Court. It was only last week that Court was being questioned about his lack of form for not making an impact on the Giro. Now he finds himself with pats on the back for being a stage victor. Funny how the tide of press and public opinion can turn so quickly. The top of general classification stayed the same with Geraint Thomas leading Primoz Roglic by just 2 seconds.
So what’s the lesson? The pros and cons of other peoples opinion. It’s really easy to get wrapped up in the opinion of others. For good and less good. This can have a real impact on our motivation. Getting the boos and the cheers into perspective is essential for driving forward what we would like to achieve.
