Throughout our time working together I'll be looking to judge the right balance between support and challenge.  We will keep an open dialogue going to ensure the conversations are achieving what you need.  Heres why:

  1. There are times when the team needs support - particularly if struggling with a particular issue or set of issues. A metaphorical arm around the team's shoulder.

  2. There are also times when we need a metaphorical mirror holding up so we can see the consequences of a particular course of action or holding to account for inaction.

  3. Without both challenge and support being in balance its unlikely that teams will fulfil their potential.
